Safety Card IranAir Boeing 727-100 back

Safety Card collection from Iran on EBAY!

The collecting of things is part of the human nature! Our ancestors had to collect all kinds of food, stones, building material… to survive. We still carry these genes in us and most people collect something! It is part of our nature. Being an aviation fanatic I collect safety cards (the little information cards in your seat pocket that tell you what to do in an emergency) and I know that many people do so, too. It is always a great reminder of a flight and a super-interesting hobby, because it tells you a lot about an airline, but also the mentality, culture, art of a country and (looking at … Continue reading

New Image gallery – SHARJAH

It has been a while, but I am very happy to announce that there is a new image gallery online! Many of you have probably heard of Sharjah Airport before and some might have visited it already. Sharjah is the neighboring emirate of Dubai, UAE and it does have its own airport that was once famous for old Soviet cargo aircraft. Things have changed a bit, but I was gladly able to visit the old aircraft boneyard recently and also included images of some of the more regular visitors to the airport. Here is a preview of what you will get in the SHARJAH Airport – a desert hub gallery: … Continue reading

Even more A320neo images now online!

A couple of month have passed since Lufthansa introduced the new Airbus A320neo (neo stands for new engine option) into regular service as the first airline worldwide. While the number of operators has grown since, it is still a very rare aircraft to see, although that will probably change in the near future with thousands of orders for this updated version waiting to be delivered! In the past weeks I have gone out and taken more and more images of Lufthansa’s new short-haul flagship. Some of them were already published in my Lufthansa Airbus A320neo gallery, but now there are even more! You will find all of them in the gallery (which … Continue reading

Lufthansa A320NEO D-AINA MUC Munich Airport

Airbus A320NEO – first aircraft in the air with Lufthansa

The A320 family of Airbus aircraft (including from small to big the A318, A319, A320 and A321) has been a huge success for the European aircraft manufacturer since the late 1980s. It is no wonder that some major airlines such as Lufthansa still fly the aircraft successfully – LH’s first and oldest A320 is still in service! The airline’s oldest A320 is registered D-AIPA (c/n 069) was delivered in October 1989 and it is currently the oldest frame in the whole fleet of short- and long-haul aircraft. More than 26 years after it’s delivery, Lufthansa and Airbus have reached another milestone… By the end of 2010 it was clear to … Continue reading

Aviation calendars now available on Amazon

This year I am offering three different calendars with dedicated editions for Airbus, Boeing and MD-11 aircraft. It has been a great joy creating these calendars and I am very happy that they are selling fast! All three calendars were available from my website right from the beginning and each order has been prepared with lots of love and care by myself or my little helper at home. From now on you will be having the option of getting a calendar via Amazon as well, which might more cost effective for some buyers. The problem I as a small entrepreneur have, is that I will never be able to match … Continue reading

AIRBUS Aviation Calendar 2016 – all calendars are in stock!

All calendars are in stock! The most important and best news comes first: I have received all calendars this morning, just as I got back from my last rotation to Nairobi. It had been a long and exhaustive night flight from Kenya to Frankfurt, but I could not wait and jumped right into the car to head home. The calendars had just been delivered and I was super excited and anxious to see them! I am extremely happy with the results and hope you will be as well. After sorting all the boxes, counting the calendars to make sure the right amount was delivered and doing some last-minute fixes on … Continue reading
